The favourite thing about my play was whining for concrete.

Cut Grass Heads

On Friday room 8 cut our grass heads except  me because I went to my Mums. I got to cut it on Monday.

Grass Heads

On Friday room 8 made grass heads.We needed a sock,grass seeds,soil,yoghurt container and some material. We put two teaspoons of grass seed into the sock with soil and followed all Mrs Parahas instructions. I enjoyed making the grass head.I hope the grass grows.

Making Butter

On Monday we made Butter.We used cream and we had to shake the cream in a jar until it turnned yellow.We tiped all the butter milk out and put the butter on bread.

Welcome to Term 4

I am happy to be back at school this term.Our class is going on a Farm Trip.I want to learn about cows milk and what is made from milk.In athletics I want to improve my high jump.At Water World we are going to learn how to swim safely in deep water.

Tane Mahuta

Tane Mahuta is 14m round. He is the biggest tree in New Zealand. Tane Mahuta was saved by the migthy kiwi. Tane Mahuta is a giant Kauri tree in the Waipoua forest of North land. It is 2500 years old. Tane Mahuta is51.5m tall. Find me.

It was Daffidol day on  Friday. I was not here on Friday.I still got a daffidol from daffidol day.

Maths Week 2012

It is maths week 2012 this week.

Math is cool.

I love maths. You can earn math points.

Term 3

This term I am looing forward to doing dance groups because I like dance.
My goals for this term are to finish my work on time and to follow instructions from my teacher.

The Cake stall

This was my favourite cake, that Mrs Paraha made, with Mr Marquin, from Room 15 and Mrs Gunn, helped as well.The cookie monster,Elmo and Oscar Grunch, were the characters, the teachers made.I hope Mrs Paraha and her group wins.

Blind fold walk.

On Tuesday,I blindfolded Jadyn outside room8.I tied a string around his waist. Two tugs means stop or go.It was a fun game.I had a turn and I was scared, that I would fall into the bin.

My speech

Room 8 was doing speeches.My speech was about karate. I was feeling nervous.I think I did well as I did my karta demonstration.I did not get into the finals. I need to work on my my eye contact

Sounds.

I learnt that sound travels through your ear to the pinna then the ear canal then to the eardrum.That is how sound travels to your brain.

Kindness week.

I felt happy giving Briian a blue card with an acoustic poem with her name.B for bright, R for relaxed, I for interesting, I for inquisitive, A for amazing, N for nice. I was very happy when I recieved a card in my totetray from Reece.He wrote you are kind, cool and fun to know.

Georgia has 100 dogs and Christian had 20 cats.How many animals are there altogether? 
Dad gave Georgia 10 dollars and Saphyre 5 dollars.How much money was there altogether?

Anzac biscuits.

We made anzac biscuits to remember the soldiers who died in worl
d war one on the 25th of April 1915.Anzac stands for Australia New Zealand Arny Corps.Twenty thousand  soldiers in this war.I enjoyed these biscuits they were crunchy.We made the biscuits in the staffroom.

My Holiday

Our Easter Hunt

In the holidys I had an easter hunt with my cousins.
My favourite part of my holidays was going to Taupo to stay with mum and Mish and go to the hot pools.

Term 1 Reflection

This term I liked the Waitomo Caves trip, because I have never been there before.My favourite activity in Room8 was making crystal flowers because the paper tissue flowers formed into crystals.My goals for next term are,working hard with my writing and maths.I need to finish my work on time, so I do not have to stay in. If I am not sure on how to do something I must ask for help.

Our trip to the caves

My favourite part of the trip was going in the tunnel on the bush walk. I learnt that when glow worms glow really bright that means they are hungry.
