My favourite thing this term is  making sherbert in science. Tast(sour\sweet \acid\base)
My favourite thing this term is doing athletices.  Coming 3rd place in 200m run. Time 50.4.
My favourite thing this term is Kapa Haka.  We did it on Vardon stage.

High Jump

In room 8 we have been practicing athletics for the past 6 weeks. On Wendnsday 20th it is athletics day for the middle team. The junior team have all ready done athletics on Firday 15th. Room 8 have been practicing and practicing so much. We have been doing long jump, high jump, throwing, 100m sperint, 200m sperint and relays. This is a pic of me practicing high jump.

On Thursday the middle syndicate Kapa Haka team performed
at a Kindergarten and resthome.This is the pic of me in my puipui.
 I have a mokpo painted on my face. I enjoyed looking beautiful in my Maori costume.

Term 3 Reflection

My favourite thing in term 3 was the Jump Jam competition in Tauranga. I wouldn't stop jumping up and down. We came a tie for third place. Amazing!

How its like to be a ALL BLACK!!!

In room 8 Mac's Mum made up a competition where we look like we are  the supporters at a test match. Here is the photo. Mac's Mum's name is Justine.We did this because we wanted to support the All Blacks.The All Blacks are vs Argentine on the 6th of September. We got have our picture taken again and this time it was with 2 All Blacks. Guess what! We were on the news.We were so happy.

HIGH JUMP!!Who can jump the highest?

On Thursday the 18th Mis BundyCook took room 8 out for high jump. My goal was to jump really high and do really well. First I was too shy to do it then I took risks and jumped and made it. I was really proud of myself.

Kapa Haka

I have been doing Kapa Haka for about three terms now.We are learning to sing songs without the seniors. We tried it on stage it  was a good practise. I could already imagine lots of poeple in the audience watching our performance.

In room 8 we have been making kites.This is my kite. It has a butterfly, a China flag and lantern. It has 3 tails.We made kites because we are reading a story about a Chinese boy called Li Cunxin who became a famous ballet dancer.

What does culture mean?

I think culture means your tribe. My tribe is the richest tribe my brothers tribe is the rearrest tribe.Some people in my class think that culture means what you do what you look alike your skin
colour.In my class there are some people that think culture means some things you celebrate and
things that you eat. And sometimes about your uniquie personality and sometimes its about your
other family members that are in your family can be seperated in other countrys.

Last week in room 4, room 8 made paper garments. Some of room 4 made hats, some made  dresses and  one group made a robot. Some children were models in room 8  and room 4. I helped Oisin make the tall lollypop hat. It was easy for the hat to fall off. We needed to make it more durable, but we ran out of time. 

Term 1 Reflection

My highlight from term 1 was camp because I have ever ever had a sleep over at school before. I  enjoyed the Harlem Shake. It was funny. My goal for next term is to be a good role model.

Research Groups

In room8 we have research groups. I am in the Endangered birds group.We found out that the bird on the two dollar coin is the White Heron and it is an endangered bird.

The Head Band Game

On Monday we did a head band game. What we had to do was three people had a head band around their heads and someone is going to put a card on your head and the three people had to guess what was on their head. I was a lemon.

Wrap Free Wednesday

 On Wednesday Room8 did ... WRAP FREE WEDNESDAY!!

We won the Green Award bye 77%.We are saving the planet.

The Slip n Slide

At camp I liked going on the slip n slide because it was fun slipping and sliding.

2013!!

We are happy to be back at school because it is fun fun fun at school in 5 more weeks we are going to camp.
